What are these?

back in the day, i used to create these otherworldly blends for people who i thought were cool or made an impact in my life.

every tea block here was made for a person using their favorite aesthetic, food, and flavors. unfortunately, the majority of those people i don't talk to anymore for better or for worse. these are just part of the memories i had with them.

What is a tea block?

tea blocks are just compressed blocks of tea leaves, sometimes called tea bricks. they would pick off part of the tea brick with a needle or knife to put into their cup. sometimes they were used as currency in some parts of asia rather than actually used.

in a similar vein, special ink sticks of compressed ink also served to commemorate a person's legacy rather than used for calligraphy. these ink blocks would have the person's life story written on them and displayed as heirlooms.

What is the keychain for?

these were intended for one to put a piece of their favorite tea block and grind them on the built in grate inside the lid, so one can have their tea on the go.

it's purely my invention, but these keychains were made specifically for people who i deemed really special.
